Stay top of mind with every customer or client you have, and every one you want.

Weekly or daily newsletters, done for you, in your name, to the customers or clients you have and the ones you are still winning.

Researched properly, published for you, approved by you, owned by you.
The problem

You have earned their trust. You do not stay in front of them enough.

  • Years of good work and a customer list that already knows you, with nothing arriving between purchases.
  • The people who could write it are the people running the business.
  • The occasional attempt starts well and stops by month three.
  • A newsletter that just arrives does not build trust. One that tells them something true they did not already know does.
How an issue moves

How an issue earns its send.

Eight steps, in the same order, every issue. Nothing moves to the next step until it passes a check.

The three in black are the heart of every issue: the writing, the independent review and your approval.

  1. 01

    Discover

The sources we set up for you in the foundation phase, your own updates, and a search beyond the feeds for what they miss. Every candidate is checked against your whole archive, news and editorial alike, so a story or an angle never runs twice.

    • Industry-specific research
  2. 02

    Curate

Every candidate is ranked against your editorial proposition: what serves your reader, what is actually new, what the numbers underneath say. A shortlist with its reasons and sources goes to your researcher, who picks.

    • Editorial plan
  3. 03

    Verify

The primary document behind each pick is opened. Each number is matched to the figure it cites, each quote to its source text, every link tested. What cannot be traced is cut before a draft exists.

    • Research with every claim sourced
  4. 04

    Write

Written from the source documents, the claim list and your voice guide, never from a summary or a press release. Then read against house style until it is in your exact register, indistinguishable from your own voice.

    • Writing and editing
    • A branded visual for each issue
  5. 05

    Review

A second, independent review scores the draft before you see it: accuracy against the sources, service to the reader, your voice. The writer never marks their own work, and a draft that falls short goes back.

  6. 06

    Approve

The draft and its source list land in your newsroom channel on Slack, with a Google Doc where you follow the links, edit, comment and approve. Approval is recorded against the exact text. Nothing goes out in your name unsigned.

    • One revision cycle per issue
  7. 07

    Publish

The approved issue is set in the template designed in the foundation phase and sent from your own domain. What was approved is what goes out, checked word for word, every link tested again on the day it sends.

    • Production and sending on beehiiv
  8. 08

    Learn

Opens, clicks, the reader poll and any corrections feed the monthly plain language report and the quarterly review. Every proposed improvement is approved before it applies to the next edition.

    • Reader poll and monthly report

Every issue is curated from your industry's news and your own updates, then written in your voice.

A Notion table named Sources listing six publications with their beat and cadence; Moneyweb is ticked as picked this week.

Your newsroom channel puts the editor, writer and designer one message away, and nothing sends until you approve it there.

A Slack message in the newsroom channel listing this week's picks: lead story, industry, your news and reader poll.
Research standards

What gets checked on every issue, before it sends.

Research is the product, not a feature. The words only carry as far as what is underneath them, so every issue clears the same six checks before it goes out in your name.

  1. Primary sources The original report, filing, dataset or statement, not the coverage of it.
  2. The numbers underneath Every figure traced to its table and quoted with its date and its source.
  3. Business mechanics What the news means for margins, cash and customers, never the press release version.
  4. A source list Named sources travel with every issue, so anyone on your side can check what we checked.
  5. Links tested Every reference opened and confirmed on the day it sends.
  6. Unverifiable claims cut If it cannot be sourced, it does not go out in your name.
What it costs

What it costs

03

What determines your quote

Daily editions and the extensions are priced on a custom basis.

One number in your proposal Quoted in rand, with everything itemised.
  • How many editions a week, and whether approvals must happen the same day.
  • How much of the writing draws on your own news, events and people, which we gather, versus curated sources.
  • Which extensions you add: reach extensions like growth, social and video, or systems extensions like demand generation, a company website, tracking and automation.
  • List size above 100,000 readers, where sending costs change.

Three months minimum, thirty days notice after that, and you keep the list, the domain and the archive either way.

Our stack
Founding clients

Four publications, built before the year ends.

We are taking on four founding client publications before 15 December 2026. For each one the Foundation fee is waived in full: the positioning, the voice guide, the design system, the publication website and the sending setup, built and handed over at no charge. Further discounts are agreed in your proposal, in return for permission to publish your results as a case study once the publication is running. Same desk, same eight steps, same approval on every issue. Only the price is different, and only until the four places are taken.

Extend your plan Every extension runs on the same desk, the same Slack channel and the same approval.
01 Audience Growth We build and run subscriber campaigns on Meta, and on Google Search where your customers look for you: creative, targeting, A/B testing, competitor and peer ad analysis, weekly optimisation and a monthly report, all done for you. Ad spend is yours and stays in your accounts. One campaign per channel, tested and reviewed weekly.
02 Executive Voice Three LinkedIn posts a week under your founder's name, built from the same research desk that writes your newsletter and a five minute weekly voice note. Written, approved in the same Slack channel and scheduled for you. A monthly report on impressions, profile views, followers and inbound messages. Three posts a week per executive, approved in your channel. Quoted per executive.
03 Demand Generation Personalised lead magnets, quizzes and persona building, each with its own landing page, done for you, complete with email nurture sequences, segmentation, lead scoring and an agreed handoff to your sales team. Quarterly lead magnet, monthly nurture, scored leads handed to sales.
04 Social Distribution Every issue turned into up to five social posts and one carousel, adapted for each channel, scheduled and published to any social account you have, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Mastodon and Nostr. Up to five posts and one carousel per issue.
05 Migration and Setup A full move from Mailchimp, Substack, Kit, Ghost or any other platform into an account you own: your list, history, automations, sequences and forms, with your sending domain authenticated and nothing lost on the way. For publications that already exist and want the desk behind them. One move, tested end to end, with a handover document.

Also quoted on request, for publications we already run: a company website, tracking and compliance setup, workflow automation, short form video and social media management.

Who it fits

Who it fits, and who it does not

A good fit

  • An appropriate audience, or a credible way to build one
  • Repeat purchases or long relationships
  • Expertise, updates or data that can sustain a publication
  • One accountable decision maker
  • A market you want more of, not only the customers or clients you have
  • A commitment of three months
  • A subject that looks ordinary. We find the angle worth a reader's attention inside it.

Not for

  • Bulk sends
  • Bought lists
  • Guaranteed sales promises
  • Occasional copywriting
  • Nobody able to approve copy
Portfolio

Questions

Frequently asked questions

We already use Mailchimp.

We recommend beehiiv, the platform we run our own publications on, and can also build and run on Ghost or Kit. If you are on Mailchimp or another platform, we manage the full migration for you, including your list, history, automations, email sequences and forms, and hand back an account you own.

We have no content.

Most clients start with none. Research and writing are part of the service, and the voice and style guide from the foundation phase gives us what we need to start. We find the angle worth a reader's attention in your industry, including the parts everyone else has stopped noticing.

How much of my time does it take?

About 30 minutes per issue, spent reviewing and approving in a newsroom channel created just for you in Slack.

Does Foundation include a website?

Foundation includes a publication site for the newsletter: home, archive, subscribe and about. A full company website is the Company Website extension.

Can I buy the website without the newsletter?

Only alongside a Foundation. The website is built to feed the newsletter and the newsletter to feed the website.

What is not included in the Foundation?

Rebranding or logo design, ecommerce, memberships or custom software, unlimited pages or revisions, CRM migrations and custom integrations, photography and video, legal drafting, ongoing SEO or conversion work, and domain, beehiiv, hosting and other charges from third parties. New pages after launch are quoted separately.

Will you grow our list?

Yes, as the Audience Growth add on, with its own budget, sooner if your list is already engaged. Every subscriber joins by double opt in, and we agree stop and scale rules in writing before anything runs. Referral prompts and cross promotion with adjacent newsletters are part of the base service, so organic growth starts before paid. We do not promise list sizes, and we report the real cost per subscriber every week so you can see exactly what your money does.

Can we approve every issue?

Yes. Nothing sends without your named approval.

What if we want to leave?

Thirty days notice after the minimum term, and you keep the account, the list, the archive and the approved content.

What happens to our subscriber data?

It lives in your own beehiiv account. We work in it as an operator, on your behalf, and hand back the keys when the engagement ends; a data processing addendum is available on request. On request we build and host your newsletter and website on our infrastructure, on your own domain, and move it into an account in your name whenever you ask.

What happens when something fails a check?

It stops there. A claim that cannot be traced to its source is cut, a link that does not open is replaced or removed, and a draft that falls short on review goes back to the writer before you see it. An edit after approval sends the issue back to review rather than out. Nothing goes out in your name with a hedge in it.

We already publish content. Does that help?

Yes. Updates, posts, reports and events you already produce feed straight into what we curate each issue, laid out in a template designed to your existing brand.

Who owns the newsletter?

You do, once invoices are paid. Your domain, your beehiiv account, your subscriber list, your publication website and your approved content are yours to keep.

Do we need a new website?

No. The Foundation builds a publication site in your existing brand: home, archive, subscribe and about, or integrates the newsletter archive and subscribe pages into the website you already have. Either way you own it.

How are the extensions priced?

Every extension is quoted in your proposal, against the scope you actually need. There is no rate card.

What does weekly mean?

One edition a week, up to 52 a year, subject to agreed pauses.

What does the R20,000 build?

The publication foundation you keep: your website, editorial identity, voice framework, sending domain setup and a beehiiv operation in your name. The engagement runs for a minimum of three months from your first published issue, after which 30 days notice applies.

What happens after three months?

The engagement continues on the agreed cadence. Thirty days notice applies after the minimum term.

How fast is the first issue?

A first draft within 48 hours of a complete brief.

Who is responsible for email compliance?

You own the list and its consent records. We send only to addresses with recorded permission, authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and every issue carries a working unsubscribe and a postal address, as POPIA and the South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act require.
